Sandra Florence Welling, 66, of Butler passed away at 4:25 p.m. Sunday at her home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1947, in Butler to the late Paul Melvin Blatt and Helen (Perkins) Blatt.

Sandra was a member of the New Beginnings Free Methodist Church. She was also a member of Life of Butler County. Sandra liked to collect owls and also play cards.

Sandra is survived by three sons, Randy Welling of Roanoke, Va., Rommel Anthony “Butch” Welling of Butler and Kevin Welling of Greentree, Pa.; two daughters, Lynn Seman and her husband, Chris, of Butler and Jamie Welling of Butler; her granddaughter, who she raised, Tara Anne Day; eight grandchildren, Ruth Ann Lunn, Timothy Wayne Lunn Jr., Jamie Lee Giebel, Nichole Welling, Michael Welling, Samantha Hess, Marli Welling and Kara Welling; four great-grandchildren, Damon Ford, Skyler Giebel, Dominic Giebel and Aubrey Milliron; one brother, Kenneth Eugene Blatt and his wife, Sue, of Butler; two sisters, Marcella Schall and her husband, Jim, of East Butler and Karen Hankey and her husband, Don, of East Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Paul Welling; two brothers, Paul Melvin Blatt Jr. and Roy Eugene Blatt, and also by her partner, Gary Lee Walker.

WELLING — Friends of Sandra Florence Welling, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Matt Perkins of the New Beginnings Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to the New Beginning Free Methodist Church, 416 Center Ave., Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
