Cranberry, Mars to meet for title
Justin Papania struck out nine as Cranberry finished off a semifinal sweep of Harmony in the Eagle County League baseball playoffs with a 4-2 win Saturday night.
Cranberry scored all four of its runs in the second inning, keyed by a two-run single from Paul Shever.
Chris Larry also had a double for Cranberry, who will play Mars in the best-of-five championship series starting today at Marburger Field in Mars. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Mars wrapped up its series against Mars II Saturday, 7-4.
Mars had lost the first game of the series, but won three straight games to advance.
