Mildred M. Eury
Mildred M. Eury, 83, of Butler, formerly of Evans City, passed away Jan. 16 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born Feb. 25, 1933, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Malitha Pfister Eyth.
Millie was a former member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Evans City. In her younger days, she enjoyed her family farm and loved telling stories of chasing her animals around. She was a well-known notary in the area for more than 35 years. Millie also was extremely devoted to helping raise her six children. She enjoyed canning and gardening, as she was well known for raising her prized irises. In her later years, she enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the senior center. Above all, Millie enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five sons, Daniel (Cathy) Eury of Conyngham, Pa., Randall (Connie) Eury of Butler, David (Donna) Eury of Shavertown, Gary (Jane) Eury of Renfrew and Eric (Lara) Eury of Butler; her daughter, Kathleen Eury of Evans City; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde B. Eury.
EURY — A memorial Mass for Mildred M. Eury, who died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin Catholic Parish, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Millie's honor to the Concordia Lutheran Home of Cabot for its kind and loving care.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
