Amy L. Mellor
Amy L. Mellor, 86, of Mars, formerly of Valencia, died Wednesday afternoon at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born July 29, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Mazak Liska.
Amy had been the secretary at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member and deacon. She had also worked at Edwards George Insurance Agency in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are two sons, Walter “Wally' Mellor (Jan) of Mars and David Mellor (Sharon) of Valencia; two daughters, Patricia Mellor of Pittsburgh and Amy Wonderly of Mars; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Mellor Jr., who she married Feb. 9, 1952, and who died Feb. 11, 1983; and by two brothers, Joseph and Arnold Liska.
MELLOR — Friends of Amy L. Mellor, who died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars. Please meet at the church.
