Flick picks up 7th win of season

BUFFALO TWP — A.J. Flick took the lead on the fourth turn of the 27th lap in the People’s Natural Gas Sprint feature, capturing his seventh win of the season Friday night at Lernerville Speedway.

The 30-lap feature featured a $4,000 pay-out to the winner and was part of the Sprint Car Spectacular at the Sarver oval.

Jack Soderman Jr. and George Hobaugh started out front for the race. Hobaugh wound up in second place, followed by Darin Gallagher. Cody Bova, who started 13th, finished fifth.

Chad Ruhlman won the RUSH Sprint feature, his car coming into contact with then-race leader John Mollick on the 13th lap. The incident dropped Mollick back to fifth. He recovered to finish third, behind Ruhlman and Tyler Newhart.

Justin Clark led the 305 Sprints (Allegheny Tour) from wire to wire for his second tour win of the season. Jim Morris, who started up front with Clark, finished second.

Fab4 action returns to Lernerville this Friday, including the Ken Schaltenbrand Memorial for the Late Models.
