After a brief outage, all affected Butler schools — the high school, intermediate and Northwest and Center Township elementary schools — now have power.

The area along New Castle Road lost power sporadically today, affecting some businesses and traffic lights.

Butler County experienced scattered outages due to severe weather, according to Chris Eck, Penn Power spokesman.

Eck said seven customers were still without power as of 2 p.m.

Earlier today, as many as 3,800 customers in the county were without power.
