Elmer F. Osche
Elmer F. Osche, 83, of Herman and a resident of the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center died Wednesday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born in Herman, April 13, 1927, a son of the late Sylvester and Emma Bauldoff Osche.
He was a retired truck driver, having worked for R.R. Schubert, the DuBrook Cement Co., the Steighner Crane Co. and John Clark.
Elmer was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Herman, the R.C. Men's Club, the Herman Volunteer Fire Department and the VFW Post 249 in Butler as he had served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl Schiebel Osche, who he married Sept. 25, 1954; two sons, Earl (Sandy) Osche and Joseph M. Osche, both of Butler; five daughters, Diane (Herman) Wolf, Brenda (Robert) Veselich, Jane (Paul) Moore, Tina Bonos and Lori (Dwayne) Hartman, all of Butler; four sisters; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
<B>OSCHE</B> — Friends of Elmer F. Osche, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home by the Joint Ceremonial Honors Squad of the VFW Post 249 of Butler and the American Legion Post 778, Lyndora. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Herman Fire Hall.The family suggests memorial donations could be made to either ARC of Butler County or the VNA Hospice.Cremation services are provided by the funeral home.
