Mary B. Leyland, 76, of Mercer died Monday evening at the Greenville Hospital, Mercer County.

Born Nov. 21, 1934, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Thomas W. and Emma (McNamee) Leyland.

She was a graduate of Butler High School and worked as the manager for a Mercer County Girls Home until she retired.

Mary was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed golfing and reading and was a former member and director of the Catholic Daughters of America Drum and Bugle Corps.

Surviving are her sister, Karen Embroski and her husband, Matt, of Gainesville, Fla.; and her brother, Thomas Leyland of Fort Myers, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
