Fuhrer Jr. Invitational at the Pittsburgh Field Club.Knapp fired a 69 Tuesday to tie fellow amateur Nathan Sutherland with a 2-over par 212 while Boros used a 66 to move to fifth place (215) to tie Bobby MacWhinnie.Dennis Munko of Birdsfoot Golf Club is tied for 20th (223), John Aubrey of Aubrey’s Dubbs Dred is 29th (227) and Denny Dolci of St. Jude Golf Club is tied for 30th (228).Ryan Sikora, the Pittsburgh Field Club pro, has an eight-shot lead (203) over John Aber of Allegheny Country Club.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court won't revive baseball star Roger Clemens' lawsuit against his former personal trainer for claiming he injected the pitcher with steroids and human growth hormones.The high court on Tuesday refused to hear an appeal from the seven-time Cy Young winner, who has an upcoming perjury trial in Washington.The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals threw out Clemens' defamation suit against his longtime trainer Brian McNamee, saying a Texas federal court didn't have jurisdiction over Clemens' claims involving statements McNamee made in New York.

Terrell Owens is recovering from left knee surgery and plans to be ready to play when the NFL season starts.Owens' agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed Tuesday that the 37-year-old star receiver tore his anterior cruciate ligament, had surgery in early April and “will be playing at the start of the NFL season.”In an interview with ESPN, Rosenhaus called speculation that Owens was considering retirement “nonsense” and said the 15-year veteran is doing “fantastic” and could be recovered as early as August.

INDIANAPOLIS — Olympic and world 400-meter champion LaShawn Merritt will be on the U.S. roster for worlds after USA Track and Field waived a rule that would have prevented him from competing because he missed national championships while serving the end of a doping ban.
