Steighner

Doreen H. Steighner, 73, of Butler passed away Monday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on March 6, 1940, in Butler to the late Albert and Candace Huselton Steighner.

She was employed as a legal secretary for Marshall, Marshall McNamee, McFarland Law Office in Butler for more than 50 years until her retirement in 2007.

She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She was a former bowler and golfer and an avid reader.

Surviving are her brother, Robert L. (Sandra) Steighner of Meridian; her sister, Peggy Ann (Edward) Smith of Washington, Ill., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Also surviving is her close friend, Marianne Atkinson of Butler.

Steighner — The friends of Doreen H. Steighner, who passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
