Janet Lorraine Eyth Oesterling
Janet Lorraine Eyth Oesterling, 88, of Butler passed away Thursday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Jan. 8, 1928, in East Butler, she was the daughter of the late George Norbert and Martha Mary Weiland Eyth.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Butler.
She enjoyed traveling and was proud to say she traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast and back again 19 times in 19 years. She also enjoyed sowing, crocheting and gardening.
Janet is survived by her children, Mary Jane (Harold) Critchfield of Butler, Judith (William) Sousie of Malone, N.Y., Dorothy Louise (John) Chichetti of Meherrin, Va., Albert George (Lori) Oesterling of Loomis, Calif., Edward Charles Oesterling of Meherrin, Va., Ronald Paul (Sherri) Oesterling of Brushton, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Victoria Painter of Slippery Rock; brothers, Victor Eyth of Ohio, William Eyth of Fenelton, Raymond Eyth of Chicora, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert John Oesterling, who she married Oct. 1, 1949, and who passed away May 21, 2009; a son, two granddaughters, two sisters and three brothers.
OESTERLING — Cremation services for Janet Lorraine Eyth Oesterling, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, were entrusted to the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.
