Mary Lou Allgood McNaughton

Mary Lou Allgood McNaughton passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Parker, the daughter of the Rev. John E. Allgood and Mrs. Anna Mae (Eisenberg) Allgood.

A graduate of Parker High School, Mary Lou spent her early adult life in Grove City. Among her places of employment while there were Cooper-Bessemer and Wendell August Forge.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her first husband, W. Edward McConnell.

After several years as a widow, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles A. McNaughton. Their years together took her to Monroeville, Pa., Tantallon, Md., Ellicott City, Md., and in 1990 to Jacksonville, Fla., where she lived until September 2017. Mary Lou enjoyed spending summers at her family's summer home near Tionesta.

Mary Lou is survived by her nephew, Charles Cramer and his wife, Helen, of Chicora; two great nephews, Patrick Cramer and his wife, Tammie and son Luke, of Chicora, and Adam Cramer and his wife, Lisa Cramer and their daughters, Haley and Emily, of Cranberry Township.

She is also survived by her stepsons, James McNaughton of Richmond, Va., and Charles McNaughton of Riverside, Calif.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brothers Homer Allgood and Dr. John E. Allgood Jr.; her sisters, Sara Allgood Cramer and her husband, Harry, Ella Allgood Conerty and her husband, C. Patrick, Elizabeth Allgood Mascaro and her husband, Alfred, and Ruth Allgood.

MCNAUGHTON — A memorial service for Mary Lou Allgood McNaughton, who died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, will be held at Highlands United Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville, Fla., with a private committal service later at Parker Presbyterian Cemetery in Parker.Memorial donations may be sent to Highlands United Presbyterian Church, 10900 McCormick Road, Jacksonville, Fla., 32225, or Endeavor Presbyterian Church, Endeavor, Pa., 16322.H.
