Daniel F. Clouse
Daniel F. “Mouse” Clouse, 54, of Chicora passed away at 10:53 a.m. Friday at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh following a brave battle with cancer.
Daniel was born in Butler on Aug. 28, 1957. He was the son of Stephen A. and Wilhelmina “Billie” Bracken Clouse of Chicora.
Mr. Clouse was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland. He attended Butler area schools. He enjoyed horseback riding, woodworking, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed the company of his dog, Molly.
Daniel was a skilled carpenter and had worked as a carpenter most of his life. His most recent employment was at Team Industrial in Meridian, where he was a heating technician.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Colleen J. Scherer of Chicora; two daughters, Amanda Clouse and Allyssa Clouse, both of Butler; two grandchildren, Gavin and Emma Saeler, both of Butler; one brother, Gerard Clouse of Chicora; three sisters, Margaret Anne Salyers and her husband, Paul, of Chicora, Amy MacDonald and her husband, John, of Nassau, N.Y., and Emily Konar of Chicora; five stepsons, Jeremy Scherer and his wife, Sharon, of Chicora, Justin Scherer of Chicora, Bradley Scherer and his fiancé, Kristen, of Buena Vista, Fairview Township, Nathan Scherer and his wife, Michelle, of Petrolia and Jerry Scherer Jr. and his wife, Jessica, of Chicora; 13 step-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhondae Heller; one brother, Kenneth Clouse; his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Anne Placide O'Donnell Bracken; and his paternal grandparents, Vincent and Philomena Waltman Clouse.
<B>CLOUSE</B> — Friends of Daniel F. “Mouse” Clouse, who died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, will be received at <B>Hile Funeral Home of Chicora</B>, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.A celebration of life Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. Joseph Pudichery, church pastor, officiating.
