Edward J. Bresnahan, 93, of Butler, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian.

He was born March 10, 1929, in Chicora, the son of the late Merle and Ethel (Burns) Bresnahan.

Ed enjoyed bowling, playing cards, baseball and golf. He liked watching the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War, and was retired from Armco Steel.

Surviving are his daughter, Denise (Steven) Horwat of Renfrew; a son, Edward (Toni) Bresnahan of Fenelton; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Fitzhenry, Lyndsay (Barry) Sebesta, Tyler (Gina) Bresnahan and Olivia Bresnahan; great grandchildren, Patrick, Joshua, James, Mary and Mila; his companion of 24 years, Joyce Anderson, of Butler and her children, Heather (Tim) Fennell, Eric (Roni) Anderson and Matt (Caryn) Anderson.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna Lee (Bowser) Bresnahan; a sister; and three brothers.

BRESNAHAN — Friends of Edward J. Bresnahan, who died Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with services at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Interment is in Butler County Memorial Park, where military honors will be held.
