BUTLER TWP — Brent Ayers scored 31 points Wednesday night as the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team defeated Pitt-Titusville, 77-63.

Vinnie Schmidt scored 15 points while Bill Smith grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Shelby Johnston scored 20 points and Karen Larson snared 12 rebounds, but the Pioneer women (4-19) ended their season with a 54-37 loss to Pitt-Titusville.

BC3’s men (4-18) play their final home game at 6:30 p.m. Monday against Penn Highlands.
