Carl R. Smith
Carl R. Smith, 84, of Saxonburg passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born March 1, 1932, in Butler, he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Giesler) Smith.
Carl was a U.S. Army veteran.
He worked at Cyclotron, Country Bell and Thrower Concrete. Carl was the founder of Carl R. Smith, Inc. He enjoyed camping, golfing and eating breakfast.
Surviving are his loving children, Stephen T. (Linda) Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Paul R. (Lisa) Smith of Butler and Carla J. (Bill) Wagner of Saxonburg; six grandchildren, Chad, Christy, Amber, Cory, Taylor and Kayla; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith (Thrower) Smith, who passed away Dec. 5, 2014; and four sisters, Helen Cochran, Grace Gittens, Ruth Weisser and Edith Kocher.
SMITH — A celebration of life party for Carl R. Smith, who died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Saxonburg Fire Hall with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
