CLAY TWP — Flames early this morning destroyed an unoccupied mobile home in a case of suspected arson at a small trailer park.

Investigators believe the trailer at 336 Beaver Dam Road was broken into before the fire was deliberately set.

"There was no power and nobody living there," said Chief Reid Campbell of the West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department. "It's suspicious, and I'd say arson is likely."

The state police fire marshal's office has been called to investigate the blaze, which occurred about 5 a.m.

Troopers also have been alerted to the apparent burglary and the possibility that items could have been stolen from the home.
