Wallace Zulick
Wallace Zulick, 94, of Butler, passed away, Monday afternoon, Aug. 1, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Elkhorn, W.Va., a son of the late Steve Zulick and Mary (Yakubik) Zulick.
He was a graduate of Butler High School and the University of Maryland. He had worked for the Social Security Administration for 20 years, retiring in 1979.
Wallace was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler, had enjoyed gardening and was proud of what he grew. He loved spending time with his grandkids and had volunteered a lot of time to his community and church.
A veteran, he served with the Merchant Marines and the United States Navy during World War II and then with the United States Air Force after the Korean War.
Surviving is his wife, June (Rubel) Zulick, whom he married June 20, 1964, at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora; his son, Ron (JoAnn) Zulick of Butler; his daughter, Cyndi Zulick-Ford (Alan Ford) of Geneseo, N.Y.; and three granddaughters, Liza Zulick of Pittsburgh; Holly Zulick of New York City and April Ford of Geneseo, N.Y.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steven, Nick and Daniel Zulick; and his sister, Anna Zulick.
ZULICK — Private services and burial will be held for the family of Wallace Zulick, who died Monday afternoon, Aug. 1, 2022.
