Wrangler Band keeps music in the family
It’s a family thing.
The Wrangler Band from New Castle, the Butler Farm Show’s featured musical entertainment Wednesday, has been around for 31 years — and the two brothers and sister who make up the nucleus of its musicians have not been around for much longer than that.
The Wrangler Band, performing modern country and classic rock, will play in the farm show’s Auditorium Pavilion at 7 and 9 p.m. The show is free with a general admission ticket.
The band’s Web page, wranglerband.com, explains: “In 1977 Ron and Randy were ready to show the world their abilities by the time they reached ages 7 and 9. Two other band members were added at that time, both around the ages of 8, to make the band complete.” Younger sister Christy joined the band a few years later
The band features three lead singers with a varied style and uncommon stage presence, blending country and rock hits with their own original material. Exceptional vocals and perfectly blended harmonies are a very integral part of the Wrangler Band sound.
The Wrangler Band has shared the stage with many great Nashville recording artists including: Faith Hill, Bryan White, Brad Paisley, Jimmy Wayne, Ricky Skaggs, Yankee Grey, Neil McCoy, Box Car Willie, Keith Whitley, Tammy Wynette, Roy Clark, John Berry, Jeff Carson, Loretta Lynn and many others.
