Catherine M. Geist, 84, of Butler passed away at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Eau Claire to the late Robert Gombash and Pearl Boda Gombash.

Mrs. Geist worked in the housekeeping department at Butler Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She enjoyed being with her family.

Mrs. Geist is survived by four daughters, Judy Koebler, Wanda Bernard, Frances Winters and Dawnetta Mentzer; three sons, Chester Sutton, Calvin Sutton and Ronnie Sutton; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Gombash; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Sutton, who passed away Feb. 8, 1967; her second husband, Albert L. Geist, who passed away Feb. 17, 1997; and one daughter, Gloria Sutton.

<B>GEIST </B>— Friends of Catherine M. Geist, who died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, will be received from 10 to to 11 a.m. Saturday at Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father James Dolan of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church officiating.
