Jerry Leroy Potts

Jerry Leroy Potts, 69, of Butler passed away Tuesday at his home.  

Born Jan. 13, 1946, in Elderton, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Joseph Leroy and Leila June Hauser Potts.  

He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1971.  

During his career, he had worked for Eisler's Nursery, Lamison's Well Drilling and the Adobe Mining Co.  

Jerry was an avid Lernerville and NASCAR race fan. He enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren, gambling, playing the lottery and going to casinos.  

He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne (Rodney) Guy of Prospect; his stepson, Michael (Christine) Riding of Slippery Rock; his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Cole and Rheannon Guy and Taylor Riding; his siblings, Judy (Ken) Good of Ohio, James (Brenda) Potts of Lebanon, Pa., Connie (Mike) Sutton of Evans City, Sharon Kay (Vincent Todd) Schaffer of Butler; his sister-in-law, Charlotte Potts of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Custer Riding Potts, who passed away July 8, 2014; his son, Jerry Potts Jr.; and his brothers, Joseph Potts and Samuel Potts.  

POTTS — There will be no viewing for Jerry Leroy Potts, who died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, but the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Edward L.
