Karen Jo Woods
Karen Jo Woods, 44, of Chippewa, loving wife, mother and friend passed away Monday.
She was born Dec. 29, 1974, in McCandless, to Richard and Sharon (McBride) Garver of Butler.
Karen married her loving husband, Greg Woods on April 4, 1998.
Karen was a graduate of Mars High School and Clarion University.
Karen's great passions in life were well-known to be family, friends and children. She dedicated much of her life to these areas. She spent uncountable amounts of time and energy volunteering in the Blackhawk community, including volunteering within the Blackhawk School District schools, actively participating in the PTO, becoming a Cub Scout leader for Pack 409, and becoming a Girl Scout leader to name a few.
Karen's smile, laughter and bubbly attitude were known by everyone who met her and her presence would always light up any room. You could not know Karen without loving and admiring her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Greg Woods; the three other loves of her life, her children Andrew, Allison and Christian Woods; her brother, Richard (Heather) Garver of Valencia; her sister, Rebecca Acuna of Butler; her grandfather, Ralph B. McBride of Valencia; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Dixie Woods of Centerville, Pa.; her brother-in-law, William Woods of Emlenton; her sisters-in-law, Rhonda Sutton of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Stacey Lantz of Cochranton; 14 nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Lori MacDonald, and her husband, Brian.
WOODS — Friends of Karen Jo Woods, who died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, will be received from noon until 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home, 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Township.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Pathway Church, 239 Braun Road, Beaver Falls.
