Dominick J. Carangio

Dominick J. Carangio, 69, of Zelienople passed away Sunday.

Born Aug. 27, 1947, in Granville, N.Y., he was the son of the late Nicholas and Emma Baker Carangio.

Dom proudly served our country in the Marine Corps during Vietnam. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 47 years, Sandra M. VanderWerf Carangio, who he married Aug. 23, 1969; his children, Nicholas (Melissa) Carangio of Oakmont, Pa., and Ramon (Jennifer) Carangio of Harmony; and his six grandchildren, Jackson, Emery, Addison, Derek (Alyson), Shawn and Alex.

In addition to his parents, Dom was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Michael Carangio, who died Feb. 16, 2006.

CARANGIO — The family of Dominick J. Carangio, who died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, will welcome friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, Pa., with the Rev. Reid Moon, pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dom's honor to NexTier Bank, 226 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063, to help offset funeral expenses.
