Elaine Maxine Youkers Hesselgesser
Elaine Maxine Youkers Hesselgesser, 85, of Slippery Rock, Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, passed away Monday at the VNA Hospice in Butler following a brief illness.
Born on Dec. 24, 1929, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Kradel Youkers.
She married Robert Dale Hesselgesser Sr. on Sept. 20, 1950, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2013.
She was a member of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert D. Hesselgesser Jr. and his wife, Pamela, and Mark L. Hesselgesser, all of Slippery Rock; her daughter, Carol L. Feevey of Slippery Rock; her four grandchildren, Kevin Hesselgesser and his wife, Melissa, of Carlisle, Diana McFeely and her husband, Rich, of Mercer, Doug Hesselgesser and his wife, Stephanie, of Grove City and Tyler Feevey of Texas; her eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Mildred Oesterling Youkers, and her sister, Dolores Walker.
Hesselgesser — The family of Elaine Maxine Youkers Hesselgesser, who passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at theSmith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Branchton United Methodist Church, 490 Branchton Road, Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Loren McQueen, pastor of the Branchton United Methodist Church, presiding. Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to VNA Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
