Anna Boros
Anna Boros, 94, of Butler died early Saturday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Butler on Jan. 10, 1918, she was a daughter of Mike and Anna Povlick Bistransin.
Anna was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora. She worked as an office clerk at Butler Motor Transit Co., Butler, for 15 years.
Anna was the widow of Alex W. Boros, whom she married Nov. 16, 1946. He died Oct. 9, 1973.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
BOROS— Friends of Anna Boros, who died early Saturday morning, June 16, 2012, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Parastas service will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Avenue, Lyndora. Everyone attending is requested to meet at the church. Anna's pastor, the Rev. Robert Oravetz, will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to be sent to St. John Byzantine Catholic Church.
