Tyrone Bistransin, 47, of Butler died unexpectedly Saturday at his home.

Born April 4, 1968, in Butler, he was a son of Elaine (Stedman) Bistransin and the late George Bistransin.

Tyrone graduated from Butler High School, where he played football and was on the track team. He had attended the University of Pittsburgh and worked as a lab technician for Boston University.

Surviving is his mother, Elaine Bistransin of Jamestown, Ohio; his sisters and brothers, Michele Ellett of Benecia, Calif., Richard Bistransin of Jamestown, Ohio, George Bistransin of New York, N.Y., Della Weidel of Jamestown, Ohio, and Andrew Bistransin of Columbus, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Tabitha and Joseph Ellett, Samuel and William Weidel and A.J. and Sofia Bistransin.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Bistransin.
