Newhaven Court at Clearview held a fish dinner March 26 in the community room to support the
St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Butler.The meal was prepared with help from volunteers and staff while residents made cakes for dessert.The group donated $557 and boxes of nonperishable food to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.———
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania received $15,000 in funding from Spark, a program of the Sprout Fund, to deliver its Robot Algebra Project to girls in Butler County.Support from Spark has fully funded robotic kits for girls of all ages to use in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programming, with a focus on early childhood.The Robot Algebra Project develops students' thinking and reasoning skills by placing them in technology-rich problem solving situations.
