The Blind Association of Butler in 2010 received more than $7,000 from
Kids Day America.The contributions have enabled the association to expand its summer camp for children who are visually impaired into a monthly Kids Can-Do group to teach life skills and increase independence.In its 11-year history, Kids Day America has supported local not-for-profit organizations while fulfilling its mission of educating children on health, safety and environmental issues that effect individuals and our community as a whole. Past recipients include Alameda Kids Zone, Butler County Against Heroin/Candle Inc., Children’s Wellness Foundation, Lifesteps, Make-A-Wish Foundation, United Way, Voice, YWCA and the Dunbar Community Center.The 2011 beneficiary is the Autism Society of Butler County.———On Jan. 6, there was a tie for first at the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club. The two pairs who won were
