Emily Donato, Distinguished Young Woman of Butler County, was named 2nd Runner Up at The Distinguished Young Women Program of Pennsylvania on July 30 in Johnstown. Donato won the Scholastic Award for her essay on “Be Your Best Self.” Donato is the daughter of Toni Donato of Butler and Jim Donato of Cranberry Township. She will be entering her senior year at Butler High School.——————
<B>Lauren Nace</B> of Butler was selected as the 2011-2012 Pennsylvania Miss Job's Daughter at the Miss Job's Daughter of Pennsylvania Scholarship pageant on April 2 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Nace is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Nace of Butler. She will be entering her senior year at Butler High School.——————<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>
<B>Madison Weiland</B> of Butler was the third runner-up for Child Actor of the Year and second runner-up for Sitcom at the International Modeling and Talent Association competition July 17 to 22 in New York City.Weiland also competed in the National Miss Pennsylvania competition on Aug. 5 and 6 in Harrisburg. She won trophies for Queen's Court 4th runner-up, Winner of Talent, Casual Wear Modeling 4th runner-up, Portfolio Award, Spirit of America, Outstanding Program Award and State Finalist. She will compete in the National All-American Miss in November in Anaheim, Calif. for the crownWieland is the daughter of Aaron and Tammy Weiland of Butler.——————The Associated Artists of Butler County announced the winners of the “Man & Machine” art exhibit at their opening on Aug. 12.<B>Tim Reamer</B> of Butler won first place for his large mixed media piece titled “Steelworker.”<B>Judy Raabe</B> of Prospect won second for her watercolor titled “ ‘49 and ‘50.”<B>Joan Scheuring </B>of McCandless Town ship won third place for her watercolor “Road Worker.”<B>Paul Glasgow </B>of Butler won Honorable Mention for his untitled pen and ink drawing.——————On Aug. 11, the winners at the Butler D.B.C. were <B>Barbara Norante </B>and <B>Lorraine Worsley</B>.
