James Beck of Butler County will be this year’s honoree at The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia Chapter’s annual Vegas on the Mon from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Nov. 3 at Pittsburgh’s LeMont restaurant.Beck is the first vice president and financial adviser with Hefren-Tillotson.He has been involved with the society since the late 1950s, when his brother Bobby died of leukemia.Beck joined the board of LLS in 1982 and has served as both president and treasurer, as well as serving on numerous committees.He is in his second term on the national board.Beck, along with his wife Lynn, have raised and/or donated more than $1 million for LLS.Tickets to the event are $175.
