COLLEGE NOTES

NATE HARDIC (Slippery Rock University) was named PSACMen's Field Athlete of the Week. The freshman won the javelin throw at the PSACWest Challenge with an NCAAautomatic qualifying distance of 211 feet, 10 inches — fourth-best in Division IIthis season.•

LACEY COCHRAN (Freeport), a junior on the Slippery Rock University women's track and field team, was named PSACWomen's Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 200 and 400 meters at the PSACWest Challenge. Her times of 25.32 and 57.25 seconds are fastest in the conference this season.•

D.J. CANNON (Mars), a pitcher for Seton Hill University, was named WVIAC Pitcher of The Week for a second consecutive time. He pitched back-to-back shutouts, including a one-hitter against West Liberty (W.Va.). He has an 0.73 earned run average in seven appearances this season.•

TYLER FITCH (Grove City College) was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week. The senior placed sixth at the Westminster Titan Invitational in New Castle with a 4-over-par 74, then shot an even-par 34-73-107 at the 27-hole Pat Flowers Invitational in Cleveland.•

RENEE WARD (Grove City College) was named PAC Women's Golfer of the Week. The sophomore was the Wolverines' top finisher at the Capital (Ohio) University Invitational, placing 53rd.•

SEAN DOMER (Grove City College) was named PAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week. The sophomore won the javelin event at the Malone Jack Hazen Open with an effort of 190 feet, 11 inches.
