Michal Westerman

Michal Allen Westerman, 51, of Freeport died Friday at his home.

Born in Natrona Heights, Aug. 28, 1954, he is the son of Ralph "Sonny" and Marilyn Cunningham Westerman of Buffalo Township.

He was a member of the Freeport United Presbyterian Church and the Freeport F&AM Lodge.

Mr. Westerman was the co-owner and operator of Westerman's True Value in Sarver for 25 years.

He was a member of the Armstrong County Hall of Fame. He had played baseball for the Cincinnati Reds minor league team and assisted with Freeport High School Varsity Baseball. He also volunteered many hours to the Freeport International Invitational Baseball Tournament.

He enjoyed vacationing with his family and watching all kinds of sports.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly Dunmyer Westerman; and was the beloved father of a daughter, Linsey (Mark) Stonebraker of Butler; and two sons, Chad (Danielle) Westerman of Oil City and Luke Westerman of Freeport; and the grandfather of Lacey Westerman and Dylan Stonebraker.

Also surviving are a sister, Jody Henry Dolmayer of Buffalo Township; and two brothers, Ralph (Patricia) Westerman III of Buffalo Township and Ernie (Karen) Westerman of Butler.

He was preceded in death by infant twin sons Michal and Matthew Westerman.

<B>WESTERMAN </B>— Friends of Michal Allen Westerman, who died Friday, March 31, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the<B><I><U></I></U>REDMOND FUNERAL HOME</B>, 524 High St., Freeport. At the request of the family there will be no public funeral service.A Masonic service will be held at 6:45 p.m. today at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Freeport International Baseball Invitational, 107 Second St., Freeport, PA 16229.
