Butler Township is having an event for National Night Out on Aug. 2.

Farmington Drive in Woodbury Estates will close at 6 p.m. to give the residents an opportunity to come out and meet officers from the Butler Township police department, Butler Township Fire District and township commissioners. The event is free and will last until 7:30 p.m.

This is the eighth year Butler Township will participate in the national event.
