Rogelio Borja M.D.
Rogelio I. Borja M.D., 80, of Butler passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 23, 1940, in San Pablo, Philippines, he was a son of the late Alfredo and Leonora (Irlandez) Borja.
He was a self-employed medical doctor and practiced in his field for more than 50 years. He was affiliated with the Butler Health System and the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for many years.
Dr. Borja was a founding member and a past President of Philippine American Medical Society (PAMS) where he coordinated many annual medical mission trips.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren and traveling.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving is his wife, Benilda (Malacaman) Borja.; they were married Sept. 6, 1969; three children, Michael (Cynthia) Borja of California, Susan (Douglas) Hammond of Washington Crossing, Pa. and Alfredo Borja of Butler; grandchildren, Hailee, Kieran, Liam, Emily, Sophia, Logan, Dudley, Alfred, Thaddaeus and Helen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Borja M.D. — Funeral services for Rogelio I. Borja M.D., who died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, will be held privately.
A Celebration of Life will held at a time to be determined.
