Nathan Alan McCandless

Nathan Alan McCandless

In loving memory of our beloved son, brother, and uncle Nathan Alan McCandless who passed away July 29th, 2012.

One year ago, you were taken away from us before your time. We will never get to hear your laugh, see your smile, or embrace you in our arms again.

With this great sadness however, we must always remember that we still have your pictures, your memories, and your legacy to help carry us through the rest of our years. Never a day passes that we do not think about you, your life, and how you influenced so many others.

Since you were a young child, you have always brought the best out in everyone you met. You made us laugh, be happy, and become better human beings.

Your love for the outdoors has been seamlessly transferred to the hundred of people of people who had the privilege of knowing you. Your nieces yell at you to make it rain and every time they see a butterfly they don’t hesitate to say “hi” to you. Their curiosity with this world is no doubt fueled by your own passion and eagerness to know all you could about the world around you. We see you in them more and more with each day, and to say we would be grateful if they grew up to be like you would be an understatement. We would call it a privilege and an honor.

Although our hearts and minds are aching to see you again, we realize we ask the impossible. We will embrace you the only way we can. Through pictures. Through memories. Through your legacy.
