Joyce M. McKinney, 79, of West Sunbury passed away peacefully Saturday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Joyce was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Brackenridge, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Clarence A. Powell and the late Estella Westerman Powell.

Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed crosswords, knitting, making crafts, traveling and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Victor P. McKinney, who she married Jan. 21, 1953; three sons, Victor “Chip” McKinney and his wife, Kay, of Butler, Douglas McKinney and his wife, Chris, of West Sunbury and Jerold McKinney and his wife, Kim, of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Connie Dunn, hospice chaplain, officiating.
