Cranberry Women’s Club returns to donating

After a two-year COVID-19 pandemic delay in holding fundraisers, the Cranberry Women’s Club was able to return to making donations to community organizations this year. Donations totaled approximately $14,000.

The club, which holds various fundraisers throughout the year to help support community nonprofits, held the Farkleberry Craft Show in November and a Spring Tea event in April.

Funds for 2022 were divided between $3,215 for Full Table Food Project at Grace Church, $2,572 for Fishbone Ministries in Butler, $2,443 for Cranberry EMS, $2,443 for Cranberry Neighbors for Neighbors and $2,186 for Sleep in Heavenly Peace in Mars.

Two $500 scholarships were awarded to Seneca Valley graduates, Siena Summers and Josh Miller.

The organization also donated to the Seneca Valley elementary school book fairs, along with Cranberry Parks and Recreation summer programs.

The club will hold a membership picnic Aug. 11. Those interested can call 724-316-3050.
