Tina Joy Best Cochran

Tina Joy Best Cochran, 47, of Maxton, N.C., formerly of Parker, passed away suddenly Monday after a vehicle accident.

Born Feb. 14, 1969, in Butler, she is the daughter of Twila Pennington Best, who survives, and the late Chester “Pete” Best.

Tina was a graduate of Butler County Community College. She was married to William John “Bill” Cochran, who preceded her in death Jan. 25, 2015. She was a Methodist.

Tina was employed with the Karns City School District before moving to North Carolina, where she was an installer for a solar panel manufacturing company.

She loved her dogs, Elmer, Bear and Schnookums. Tina was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her mother, Twila, she is survived by her daughter, Amanda Prorok of Parker; two sons, Matthew and Theodore “Teddy” Prorok, both of Harrisville; two stepchildren, Abbi and Kevin; two sisters, Shelly (Rick) Kriebel of Newport, N.C., and Carey Best of Parker; and two brothers, Peter (Michelle) Best of Parker, and Daniel (Tina Louise) Best of Parker.

COCHRAN — Friends of Tina Joy Best Cochran, who died Monday, April 11, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., in Eau Claire.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
