Margie M. Zitzman

Margie M. Zitzman, 89, of Saxonburg passed away on Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born March 16, 1928, in Rimersburg, she was the daughter of James Watterson and Barbara Somple Watterson

Margie was a homemaker. She was Protestant and a member of Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary for 44 years. She enjoyed bowling, watching the Pirates, baking, playing cards and scratch-off lottery tickets.

Surviving are children, Terry (Carolyn) Zitzman Sr. of Saxonburg, Patty Swidzinski of Saxonburg and Frank R. (Sue) Zitzman Jr. of Hebron, Ky.; three sisters, Betty Slaugenhaupt of Saxonburg, Mary Henry of Rimersburg and Peg Schons of Rimersburg; one brother, Don (Judy) Watterson of Maine; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank R. Zitzman, who died June 20, 2004; one grandson, Troy Zitzman; and 11 brothers and sisters.

ZITZMAN — Friends of Margie M. Zitzman, who died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home in Saxonburg.Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
