Marcia Shuber Andres

Marcia Shuber Andres, 72, of Pawleys Island, S.C., formerly of Butler, died Monday at the Tidelands Community Hospice in Georgetown, S.C.

Born Aug. 28, 1940, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late John “Jiggs” Shuber and Jean (Hosack) Shuber.

Marcia was a graduate of Butler High School, had attended the Butler County Community College and had worked for the Servicestar Corp. in Butler as a credit administrator for 25 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Butler before moving to Pawleys Island, S.C., in 2002.

Surviving are her daughter, Karen Keck and her husband, Robert Ira Keck, of Butler; three grandchildren, Casey Cavalero of Chautauqua, N.Y., Kathryn Keck of Conway, S.C., and Robert Keck of Nashville, Tenn., and one brother, John A. Shuber and his wife, Coral A. Shuber, of Fulton, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lee Andres, who died in Feb. 1, 1995.

Andres — Friends of Marcia Shuber Andres, who died Monday, July 22, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. James Dollhopf, pastor, will officiate.
