County officials OK final design for new office building
The Butler County commissioners this morning approved a final design for a new office building adjacent to the government center that has an estimated cost of $12.1 million.
The design has four levels with a parking lot on the bottom level.
Commissioners Bill McCarrier and Dale Pinkerton voted to move forward while Commissioner Jim Eckstein dissented.
Eckstein said the parking lot, which would be used by elected officials, is unnecessary.
McCarrier reiterated construction of the office annex would not occur if bids would be too high.
