Rex A. Osborne

Rex A. Osborne, 64, passed away peacefully Thursday in Columbus, Ohio.

Rex was the son of the Rev. Cloyd M. and Alberta J. Osborne of Cabot and was a graduate of Butler High School and Baldwin Wallace College. He worked at Nationwide for 19 years before becoming an employee of Germain Ford.

Rex was a true people person who brightened the lives of all who knew him. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Buckeyes, the Steelers and golfing with family and friends. The true light of Rex’s life were his sons, Matt and Eric; and his grandchildren Jaxsen, Larkyn, Rhys and Carmen. He also loved animals, including his beloved basset hound, Spanky.

Rex is survived by his sons, Matt (Stacie) and Eric Osborne; and grandchildren mentioned above. He also is survived by his mother Alberta Osborne, of Cabot; sister, Yolanda (Bill) Deemer of Butler; and brother, Tom (Carol) Osborne of Lakeside, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father the Rev. Cloyd Osborne of Cabot.

OSBORNE — Friends of Rex A. Osborne who died Thursday, May 18, 2017, may visit the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Haven One Chapel at Concordia, 112 Marwood Road, Cabot.
