Dorothy J. “Dottie” Eberhardt, 90, formerly of Butler, died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday at Cranberry Place, Cranberry Township.

Born May 11, 1925, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Harry Clossin and the late Helena Bender Clossin.

Mrs. Eberhardt was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora. She graduated from the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Pittsburgh with her degree as a registered nurse.

Mrs. Eberhardt had worked at the VA Medical Center in Butler as a nurse and at Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Hospital Nurse's Alumni Association and AARP. Mrs. Eberhardt enjoyed gardening, ceramics and puzzles.

Mrs. Eberhardt is survived by two sons, George Eberhardt II and his wife, Cathy, of Louisville, Ky., and Paul D. Eberhardt and his wife, Martha, of Wexford; two grandsons, Keith Eberhardt and his wife, Catina, of Louisville and Kevin Eberhardt and his wife, Linda, of Campbellsville, Ky.; one granddaughter, Christy Runyan and her husband, Brian, of Louisville; five great-grandchildren, Kaden Eberhardt, Christian Eberhardt, Dylan Eberhardt, Bradley James Eberhardt and Easton Runyan; and three nieces and four nephews.

Mrs. Eberhardt was preceded in death by her husband, George D. “Ebbie” Eberhardt, whom she married April 12, 1947, and who passed away Dec. 4, 2008; one sister; and one nephew.

EBERHARDT — Friends of Dorothy J. Eberhardt, who died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church worship site in Lyndora, 303 Penn Ave., with the Rev. James Murphy officiating.
