Joseph Merriman

Joseph Merriman, 70, of Cranberry Township passed away Monday while at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Feb. 17, 1946, in Glenfield, he was the son of the late Sylvester A. and Mary Louise (Knecht) Merriman.

Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Kathleen (Dulley) Merriman; his three stepchildren, Virginia Vescio, Alan Derner and Grant Derner; four brothers, Bill Merriman, Jim Merriman, Bobby Merriman and David Merriman; four sisters, Phyllis Falcona, Norma Fisher, Midge Ganster and Charlie Guenther; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Merriman; and his two sisters, Janet Smith and Nancy Merriman-Koegler.

MERRIMAN — The family of Joseph Merriman, who died Monday, May 2, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Derek Marotta officiating. He will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's honor in support of the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 or the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
