Frances P. Stewart

Frances P. Stewart, 74, a woman who was beautiful inside as she was out, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Friday at home in Barkeyville with her loved ones at her side.

Though her last few years were full of challenges, she still maintained a great faith in the Lord and loved laughing with all of her family and friends. She also enjoyed spoiling her little dog, Jasper.

Frances was a wife, mother and homemaker. She married John L. Stewart in August 1960 and they had five children.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading, crocheting, visiting family and friends and of course, fishing!

Frances will be remembered for her smile, her strength, her faith and the love she had for roses.

Surviving are her five children, Lori Sager of Ambridge, Jill Stewart of Barkeyville, Dawn (Randy) Stewart-Miller of Grove City, Jean (Mark) Pusen of Loganville, Ga., and John (Rose) Stewart of Sewickley.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Cassandra Mihalek, Gabrielle and her husband, Josh Shumaker, Alexander Mihalek, Rachel and her husband, Chris Keller, Kay Pusen, Grace and her husband, James Green, and Krista Stewart; and her brother, Donald McCandless and his wife, Shirley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Stewart; her brother, Lonnell McCandless; her sisters, Ilene McChesney, Lavonne McAteer and Corrine Frampton; and her parents, Earl M. McCandless and Violet V. McCandless.
