Matthew Bell
Matthew Leo Bell, 28, of Petrolia, and formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022.
He was born in Butler on Aug. 22, 1993.
He graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 2011.
Matt was a car salesman for Jim Shorkey Kia in Wexford, and an avid auto enthusiast and thrill-seeker. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing video games, and he was a dedicated member of the Bell’s Comics Community. He loved animals and valued all life; he believed in living every moment to its fullest potential.
Survivors include his mother, Sheila Marie, and her husband, Gerald “Heath” Neely, of Petrolia; his father, Mark Vernon, and his wife, Tiffany Bell, of Slippery Rock; his brothers, Logan A. Bell and wife Olivia Miller, of Erie, Dylan Dingel of Slippery Rock and Isaac Bell of Slippery Rock; his paternal grandmother, Sandra, and husband Rodger Riddle, of Forestville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
BELL — The family of Matthew Leo Bell, who died Monday, July 18, 2022, will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
A celebration of life will be held at at 11 a.m. Friday with family friend Ed Sanner presiding.
Memorial contributions may be given to Grove City Area Pet Rescue.
