FORWARD TWP — A candlelight memorial will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday on Cashdollar Road in memory of Scott Fosnaught and Shawn Baur, who were killed in an unsolved hit-and-run incident in 2002.

MIDDLESEX TWP —Prison After-Care Ministry will hold a two-day training session for volunteers from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lighthouse Foundation on Route 8 South and Cruikshank Road. The sessions will be led by Paul Mabin of Prison Fellowship.Training will outline the help that can be given to those released from jail, the proper relationships to be established, and the human resources available from the county and churches. EVANS CITY — St. Peter's Lutheran Church will hold a Christmas in July pasta dinner and Christmas rummage sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church, 202 Van Buren St.Takeout dinners will be available and an offering will be accepted.

SARVER — An old fashioned sock hop and car cruise will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Westminster Road. The event will include food, a hula hoop contest, door prize, photos with Elvis, sundaes and ice cream floats.The cruise will begin at 6 p.m. with dancing to follow. BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to an outdoor discovery program at 7 p.m. July 24 at Alameda Park Carousel Shelter.
