Gary Lee Sherrieb, 83, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away at 3:49 a.m. July 18, 2022, at The Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born May 17, 1939, in Freeport, and was the son of the late Robert and Olive (Faulkner) Sherrieb.

Gary is survived by his wife, Patricia (Williams) Sherrieb; a son, Kevin (Jennifer) Sherrieb; a daughter, Kelly (Leigh) Sherrieb-Johnson; and his brothers, Mervin Sherrieb, David (Sue) Sherrieb and Bruce (Sharon) Sherrieb.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alaina (Cedric) Ceballos, Joseph (Lauren) Sherrieb and Brooke (Austin) Sherrieb; and his great-grandchildren, Eleanor Sherrieb and one on the way.

Gary was preceded in death by son, Ryan Sherrieb; his brother, Rolland Sherrieb; and a grandson, Michael Sherrieb.

Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a golf fanatic and enjoyed playing at the Red Hawk Run Golf Course.

SHERRIEB — Visitation for Gary Lee Sherrieb, who died Monday, July 18, 2022, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, Ohio.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio, with the Rev. Grodi officiating.

Burial with full military honors will take place following the funeral service Saturday at St. Michael Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's honor to The Hancock County Humane Society, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, OH 45840.
