Arnold L. 'Bud' Bowser Jr.

Arnold L. “Bud” Bowser Jr., 70, of North Washington passed away Sunday following an extended illness.

Bud was born on March 2, 1944, in Butler County to the late Arnold L. Bowser Sr. and Annie Marie Bowser Smith.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his mother, Laurene Bowser of Parker; his wife of 30 years, Charleen Bowser of North Washington; their three daughters, Krystal L. (Jarrod) Shoaff of North Washington, and Sabrina (Justin) Bowser and Ann-Marie (Chris) Bowser, both of Butler; from a previous marriage, his only son, Arnold L. “Buddy” Bowser III of Chicora and his daughter, Kimberly (Don) Montgomery of Chicora; his seven grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his six sisters, Barbara (Dick) Lowers and Liz (Ben) Lowers, both of Parker, Sarah Curdo of Bruin, Nancy (Carl) Marano of Emlenton, Tracy Bowser of Seneca and Marcella (Mike) McConnell of Clarion; his three brothers, Jim (Mary) Bowser of Altoona, Ron (Tammy) Bowser of West Sunbury and Gary (Ginnie) Bowser of Parker; and his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and his biological mother, Bud was preceded in death by four brothers.

Bowser— Private visitation for Arnold L. “Bud” Bowser Jr., who passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, will be from 6 p.m. to services at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, with the Rev. Bill Hastings of the Seneca United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be private.
