Dean W. Potts
Dean W. Potts, 81, of Kaylor died Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born May 21, 1935, in Huey, Clarion County, he was the son of Joseph L. and Mildred I. Moltiken Potts.
A 1953 graduate of East Brady High School, Dean married Mary L. Bowser Jan. 25, 1957. She survives.
A U.S. Army veteran, Dean served during both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After his discharge, he was employed at Magnetics in East Butler for 40 years.
Dean enjoyed time in the outdoors and loved hunting with his dogs.
Surviving is his wife Mary L. Potts of Kaylor; three daughters, Holly Potts of Union City, Ellen (David) Scholl of Elderton and Jenny (Phillip Eiler) Potts of Bradys Bend; and one son, Dane (Angel) Potts of Bradys Bend.
He also is survived by 10 grandchildren, Dan, Jeff, Alicia, Beria, Catrina, Deanna, Alexander, Hannah, Kyle and Matthew; three sisters, Lois (Lee) Nelson, Connie (Bill) Lewis and Barbara (Dan) Ruger; two brothers, Charlie (Dorothy Culvert) Potts and Gary (Debbie) Potts; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale; and one brother, Ronald.
POTTS — Friends of Dean W. Potts, who died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady. A veteran's service will be at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul DeBacco, pastor of the Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
